CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
Parents are expected to monitor and check the following:

- Every Student should be in school every day.
- In the event that your child will be absent, parents are requested to call the office to inform the staff of their child's absence, or leave a message for the homeroom teacher.
- Always provide an excuse note or doctor's note upon the child's return. Failure to provide an excuse note will receive a Truancy Notification Letter from the homeroom teacher.
- Homework is given on a daily basis (Worksheets or Shared Stories).
- Homework must be turned in everyday along with the homework folder.
- There are times that family projects will be assigned to be completed on a given time frame.
- In the event that a child is absent, please see or communicate with your child's teacher.
- Parents are expected to check and monitor their child's progress at all times.
- Parents are encouraged to schedule conferences with the homeroom teacher anytime.
- Sign and return mid quarter progress reports and quarterly report cards in a timely manner.

- Use classroom materials and supplies appropriately
- Walk, don't run in the classroom
- Treat others the way you would want to be treated
- Work quietly
- Respect other's belongings
- Raise your hands for permission to speak or act
- Listen and follow teachers directions
- Use appropriate language when talking to others
- Be prepared for class, bring materials and have them ready for you to do your work
- Report to your class on time
- Ask teacher's permission and the appropriate pass before leaving the classroom
- Always clean up after yourself

- Special privileges, (e.g. first in line, work on favorite activity, class monitor job, special arts and crafts projects).

- 2nd time - 5 minutes working away from the group
- 3rd time - 10 minutes working away from the group
- 4th time - Call Parents
- 5th time - Send to the Principal's office for counseling
